Social Media Content & Marketing Specialist

We are looking for a creative, upbeat, friendly person to join our HR team! Open to officing in Lakeville or Burnsville if more convenient.

We are a local Minnesota transportation company. We are proud to be employee-owned and we are looking to welcome a Social Media Content & Marketing Specialist to our HR department. We are a diversified company that consists of over 900 employees, six operating locations, and experience in the passenger transportation business since 1952.

Job Responsibilities

• Content Creation (photography, videography, editing) used to promote Schmitty & Sons business through marketing channels, website, and social media
• Use graphic design and CMS to prepare and publish weekly internal newsletter for all employees
• Help develop, execute, and monitor marketing programs across a variety of channels. Work includes researching the market, analyzing trends to help define the organization’s marketing strategy, and providing advice as to how to best reach the target market.
• Company-employee and company-customer communication
• Edit and update the website as needed
• Attend and participate in local and college job fairs
• Develop strategies and tactics to boost the company’s reputation and drive qualified traffic
• Content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, copywriting, and performance analysis
• Oversee creation of marketing material, from website banners to hard copy material

What we are looking for

• Proficient with Microsoft Office products
• Creative person with a can-do attitude!
• Photography/ Videography basic skills

Other Requirements

• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test
• Read, write, and speak in English
• Have a positive attitude and be a team player
