JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are hiring an Account Manager to join the fast growing Schmidt Brothers Cutlery team. You will focus on supporting our B2B sales teams, existing wholesale customers, and prospective new partners by providing Schmidt Bros-caliber client service to manage and grow account relationships across the entire lifecycle from sales meetings, sales analytics, orders, delivery, and billing management. We are in growth mode, and looking for a highly energetic, driven account manager to help fuel our business expansion.

Rooted in heritage and technology, we’re a family-owned brand with a passion for sexy knives—and we’ve got the personality and German knife-making expertise to prove it.
The ideal candidate is obsessed with bringing best in class relationship-management, project management, and communication skills to bring Schmidt Bros products to life across retail partners that span across both national big box accounts and premium gourmet housewares brands. Your analytical and organizational skills will be immediately evident.
WE’LL TRUST YOU TO:
● Lead account-based support and selling to National Wholesale / Retail partners.
Examples of existing wholesale partners include Crate & Barrel, Williams Sonoma,
Costco, Walmart, Target and more.
● Manage retail partners and retail orders, including sales forecasting and performance
● Receive and respond to Retailer inquiries.
● Receive approved retail orders and partner with Operations team to manage shipping fulfillment.
● Place orders with Operations / Distribution center, checking orders for accuracy
● Partner with Marketing to create and distribute Schmidt Bros collateral and creative assets, including line sheets, inventory availability, seasonal catalogs, and collateral.
● Manage orders and product listings to retail (vendor) guidelines.
● Communicate and manage tight timelines.
● Communicate product availability and pricing.
● Assist the marketing and sales team with trade shows and other events.
YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:
● BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
● 5+ years of client service, sales, and relationship management experience
● Strongly preferred: related experience at a consumer product company or brand

● A proven track record in reaching and exceeding goals.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
● Travel: up to 20% for trade shows or client meetings
● Location: New York City area
● Office: hybrid work environment (office + virtual mixed)
● Salary Range: $60 – 85k + annual performance bonus and merit increases,
● Company plan also includes 401k and health benefits.
