SCANTEC GPR SERVICES INC. is a small business in Calgary, AB. Our goal is to Scantec GPR Services Inc is a ground penetrating services company in business since 2017. We are a small company but able to provide the highest quality GPR work in many different applications. These include concrete scanning for construction and utility locating (water, gas, electrical, communication, sewer, and other objects including PVC pipes or fiber optic cables prior to digging or excavating)..

We’re seeking a highly motivated Junior Technician to join our team. A Junior Technician at our company are trained and works directly on site with the clients, which means that the successful candidate will be able to make an immediate impact in our dynamic environment. We are looking for candidates with a background in retail, and a demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Mechanically adept, independent and flexible;
• Strong computer skills, expertise in AutoCAD and GPS a significant advantage;
• Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record to use company vehicles as necessary;
• Effective communication skills with the ability to contribute effectively as part of a team;
• Have a strong work ethic;
• Must be able to learn how to use GPR equipment and other technical equipment to complete GPR projects as necessary;
• Comfortable working onsmall or larger construction projects;
• Must be self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and be a team player with strong collaboration skills;
• Travel required as needed;
• Must be authorized to work in Canada;
• Knowledge or interest of concrete construction methods, experience on construction sites a plus.

CONSIDERED ASSETS:
Experience using GPR equipment (especially GSSI, IDS, Sensoft) and software (RADAN, GREDHD). Some trainings in GIS and/or surveying. Working knowledge using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
