In this role, you will be working directly with the Backup Radar Team as part of the ScalePad organization.

The Opportunity

As the Jr. Helpdesk Specialist, you will help transform the growing IT team at ScalePad. You will continue to build your own skills while you contribute to creating a masterful experience for your colleagues. You will be the front line IT specialist ensuring all Rocketeers have the technology and knowledge they need to be successful.

Responsibilities

MacOS, iOS, and cloud apps assistance: Help staff troubleshoot issues with software on their devices or in the cloud.

Hardware, procurement, configuration and IT asset management.

Jamf Pro environment maintenance: app packaging, updates, configuration profiles (MDM), reporting, etc.

Software skills: SaaS vendor management, procurement, administration and integration.

Installing and configuring operating systems such as macOS. Knowledge of Linux is a plus.

Supporting staff in a remote capacity

Security and compliance – Ensure policies are being implemented and followed.

Keep our team support tickets up to date and maintain a high level of responsiveness to staff inquiries in tickets and/or Slack support channels.

About You

2+ years of relevant technical or security work experience in Helpdesk/IT

2+ years of in-depth deployment and support experience with the latest macOS versions

You are familiar with Jamf Pro and Apple Business Manager workflows – One-year hands-on experience using Jamf to deploy and manage macOS and iOS devices

Working knowledge of the Apple ecosystem, MDM framework, and deployment programs

Excellent troubleshooting skills; high attention to detail; ability to quickly diagnose and solve issues; make wise decisions despite ambiguity.

Vendor apps management – Maintain software apps and vendors inventory (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, etc.). Own relationships with some of our vendors.

True attention to detail, reporting abilities and strong communication skills.

You love helping and coaching staff and can do so empathetically and effectively.

A healthy sense of urgency with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities and projects.

Overall, you love technology and love helping people with technology – both are equally important!

Bonus Marks!

Experience within the MSP industry

Basic programming skills (ie, ability to write scripts for automation in python, bash, etc.)

DevOps skills (or interests) are a plus! Anything in the area of containerization, orchestration, and automation of microservices with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins, etc.

Familiarity with the use of REST APIs

Familiarity with AWS and GCP

Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001 or similar security standards or frameworks
