As part of the EMEA Global Payroll Team (GPT), you’ll be processing of end to end payroll which includes; collation of payroll input, statutory and taxation payments, ensuring that the calculation of the payroll is in compliance with the specific country payroll regulations, corporate policies and internal controls (i.e. audit compliance) while ensuring that all government reporting and remittances are disbursed timely and accurately.

This position is a two year fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities
Align to globally aligned payroll processes and policies as it relates to the regional payroll department. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and overtime, as required.
Snr Payroll Specialist must be able to balance multiple/changing priorities to meet demanding deadlines with internal and external contacts. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected especially as it relates to high complexity issues.
Maintains relationships at all levels of the organization.
Ensure country toolboxes are regularly reviewed and updated for relevant countries (GPT: calendars, payroll manuals, calendars, process maps, templates).
Ensure accurate and timely payment of employees within the EMEA range of countries; including by not limited to; gathering of input data, providing data in agreed format to payroll provider, validate output from payroll vendor, seek approvals for Assoc Manager/Regional Payroll Manager, upload bank file into relevant bank portal, seek approval from SSC Treasury for same. Ensure that payroll withholdings are calculated accurately and remitted timely to third party and governmental agencies.
Actively involved in process of expatriate payroll and tax reporting for countries under scope of control.
MyHR ticket management and resolution for countries under the scope of the HRDC. Maintain GPT mailbox for communication with external payroll providers and HR teams and employee queries for those countries outside of the full scope of the HRDC.
Partner with Regional & Associate Manager to assist with payroll processes, cycles and projects with COE, HRBP’s, business leaders, Global/Regional Finance, and other stakeholders within SCJ, to ensure smooth delivery of the payroll processes, cycles & projects.
Participate in payroll related projects within EMEA for all SCJ businesses including aligning to Global GPT Model, Acquisitions, etc.
Required Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline with 4 years payroll experience
Certification and/or Licenses
Certified Payroll Professional (UK) or country equivalent
Experience – functional/industry/commercial knowledge, business acumen
Degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline with a minimum 4 years payroll experience.
Must be able to manage and prioritize the work of multiple country payrolls.
Must have a working knowledge of business applications, accounting, and financial analysis.
Must be able to review payroll transactions and compile the information into a meaningful format for management review.
Strong business and accounting acumen with strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and apply good judgment, excellent complex problem solving, analytical and organizational skills, relationship management and communication skills (both written and oral), with the ability to effectively interact with all levels.
Assures compliance with all governmental and local country payroll guidelines for EMEA/ EU and other countries.

Strong customer focus, demonstrated ability to work independently, apply sound judgment and solve complex problems.
Works in conjunction with Regional Payroll Manager and Associate Manager to ensure compliance with Global/ Regional EMEA internal and external auditors and assist Regional Payroll Manager & Associate Manager to provide information in support of interim and year-end reviews.
Coordinates payroll maintenance with Payroll providers, HRDC and internal stakeholders in relation to the end to end payroll process globally for all entities utilizing the WD payroll module.
Works with Financial Managers and Financial Analysts throughout the business to ensure payroll is accounted for properly and accurately input and maintained in WD.
Also works with these departments to resolve issues and/or identify opportunities to improve existing processes.
