About the role
We are currently seeking an organized and motivated Catering Accounts Manager to join the team at Savory Hospitality. Our ideal candidate can field client inquiries with exceptional customer service while brainstorming innovative solutions to grow and nurture our client relationships. This position heavily focuses on fielding inbound calls and supporting account growth by drafting proposals and contracts, responding to inquiries, and organizing all details related to corporate catering and events. Accounts Managers also work closely with our hospitality and culinary teams to seamlessly execute catering and event orders.

This role is a key addition to our growing team. Here are some examples of the primary responsibilities of our Accounts Manager:

• Manage incoming orders, calls, and emails for all commercial clients: existing, new, and prospective
• Build, foster, and maintain relationships and business with current commercial clients
• Process high-volume daily orders (typically 20-50 per day)
• Place orders with 3rd party vendors as necessary (Kosher and Halal meals, rental needs, etc.) Partner with logistics, production, facility, and culinary management to help guide all daily and weekly orders
• Convert leads into sales, always driving business forward
• Educate clients on new menu items, activations, special menus, and service offerings to continuously upsell all services and options
• Drive client communications: prepare proposals and presentations, make outbound calls to existing clients, follow up on new leads immediately, and take orders over the phone or email, as needed
• Lead new client onboarding to the Savory platform
• Conduct regular and timely site visits with existing and newly onboarded commercial clients to foster development and growth on all accounts
• Track financial data
• Organize and maintain accurate client records in Flex catering software
• Manage calendar invites and updates, coordinating internal and client schedules
• Collaborate daily with the operations and culinary teams to exceed client expectations and maximize sales revenue
• Routinely participate in hospitality networking events and/or continuing education programs to develop our service offerings, grow as an Accounts Manager, and stay current on industry trends
• Other duties as assigned to support and evolve the growing Accounts team

• A passion for hospitality, food, and beverage
• 3-5 years of experience in high-volume account management
• Flexibility and comfort with shifting priorities and multitasking in a growth-focused, client-driven environment
• A solutions-focused mindset: the ability to listen to clients, understand their needs, and deliver an effective solution
• Excellent, clear communication skills, written and verbal
• Relationship and team-building skills, both with clients and within the organization
• A hospitable nature with the ability to stay calm and collected under pressure, gracefully solutioning challenges internally and externally
• Understanding of financial data and tracking
• Strong time management skills and keen attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Teams
• Familiarity with catering software, including BEO creation and ing (experience with Flex catering software is a plus!)
