Savory Management – Senior Accountant Job Description

We need a Senior Accountant to join our finance department and take over the major reporting and reconciliation duties for our company. We’re a growing restaurant development and investment company. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing key accounting and reporting aspects of multiple restaurant concepts. We need a professional with inherent leadership qualities and the attention to detail necessary to ensure accurate and timely reporting in all areas. The successful applicant will have a basic knowledge of how restaurants are run and will have prior experience with financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department

· Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance

· Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the Controller’s attention

· Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary

· Reconcile balance sheet accounts

· Assist with the annual external financial statement audit

· Conduct regular ledger maintenance

· Basic treasury functions

· Managing receivables from restaurant house accounts

· Coordinate with the accounts payable team to ensure timely payment to vendors

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Required (Masters Preferred)

· 2+ years’ experience in general accounting

· Experience with general ledger systems

· Advanced knowledge of Excel

· Strong problem solving and analytical skills

· Proactive attitude

· Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
