It’s all about the money; as an NGO it is vital that we ensure that our financial resources are correctly and effectively used. Our experienced Financial Control team undertakes all aspects of financial management including accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Use your expertise to champion Save the Children financial policies, standards and procedures to see our managers sleep soundly, our beneficiaries well served and our donors happy with the results.

Where you come in:
In this full-time, permanent position (based ideally in Melbourne though other locations will be considered), you will have flexibility to work from home or from one of our state offices. You will work on ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial information at the corporate, departmental and individual program level. The role will ensure the integrity and reliability of the overall internal control framework over our financial information, ensuring all internal and external financial policy, reporting and compliance obligations are met. You will be part of our Finance team and report to our Senior Financial Accountant.

You will have experience working with pressure tight deadlines, you are able to manage the completion of program acquittals and month-end activities within agreed timeframes. You have some experience with ERP systems, are comfortable with Excel and have good verbal and written communication skills. You can work closely with your team to strengthen the financial control environment and ensure Save the Children meets its donor, statutory and regulatory obligations.
