We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Clinical Assistant to join our psychiatry clinic. This position serves as the first point of contact for patients and the practice, whether over the phone or in person. They provide general information and guidance and connect patients with the appropriate individuals for specific needs. This role is responsible for accurate record keeping, ensuring that all necessary information is obtained. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a caring demeanor, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and check-in patients, obtain their medical history and relevant personal information

• Monitor patient’s vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate

• Prepare examination rooms and maintain equipment and supplies

• Provide support to patients, including answering questions and offering encouragement

• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed

• Accurately record patient information in electronic health records

• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all clinic policies and procedures

• Communicate financial related matters to patients including amount owed

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Prior experience working in a healthcare setting, or interested in working in a mental health clinic

• Ability to accurately record patient information and maintain electronic health records

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
