Position Open Until Filled
Email Michelle Gordon, Coordinator of Human Resources, at mgordon@kgcs.k12.va.us for information on teacher licensure, including alternate paths to licensure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implements instructional programs that meet the needs, interests and abilities of students using appropriate instructional materials
- Develops lesson plans and assessments to effectively meet student needs and motivate students to be successful
- Maintains safe and orderly environment
- Communicates with parents/guardians
- Maintains complete and accurate student records
- Collaborates with school administrators, other teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members
- Monitors and assesses student achievement
- Attends ongoing professional learning and meetings
- Models professional, moral, and ethical standards in all interactions and job functions
- Performs related duties as assigned by the building administrator(s) in accordance with the school/division policies and practices
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure in Mathematics
- Applicant with teaching experience must have an acceptable rating from previous employer
- Ability to effectively use and integrate technology
23-24 PROPOSED Starting Salary = $50,000 per year full-time (bachelor’s level)
Educational Supplements:
BA + 15: $750
