Sarens Hiring for Contracts Project Controller Job at Farnborough, Hampshire, South East England, England Full Time

Position will involve supporting the Contracts Manager by preparing document submissions and carrying out activities focusing on validation of details within payment applications to ensure accuracy, reviewing supporting documentation, content and adherence to contract payment terms. Jon role will include:-

• Creating suitable Excel workbook registers to meet company, management and audit requirements, reporting compliance and KPI.
• Provide Excel operator training and support to project team members as required.
• Monitoring and forecasting mobilisation / demobilisation claims
• Monitoring training that be claimed under the Contract
• Maintaining Risk register
• Adapting to progressive task expansion
• Purchase and contract variation/change order creation,
• Process review and change management,
• Excel workbook development,
• Budget demonstration and submission, cost code assignment,
• cash flow forecasting (internal and external), contingency fund planning, financial reporting, risk cost book
• Maintaining change register
• Flagging potential budget supplementation requirements.
• Value of work done and accruals reconciliation with month end finance reporting
• Invoice and payment application administration from receipt through to payment certificate approvals pre-payment
• Risk analysis, intelligence gathering, and inter department liaison

A hands on operator (not management) who enjoys getting involved and taking responsibility for items with the following skills:

• TCO / Fluor experience
• Good team player with professional relationship building ability
• Excellent communication skills, work ethic and attitude to responsibilities
• Previous experience of working within a Contracts group
• Understanding of how Contracts work (change order, instructions, payment applications, risk registers)
• Financial budget administration,
• Project cost control,
• Calculation of VoWD
• Experienced working in high pressure project environments
• Strong system and process operator, – eg purchase ledger/order systems
• Understanding of development and change management on large Projects (excessive of $100m)
• Extensive financial management and administration experience
• Computer literate with Microsoft XL and word
• High level of excel understanding
• User knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Mincom and TM1 accounting software
