Overview of the Role
Saputo Dairy Products is seeking an enthusiastic, driven, Valve Maintenance team member to join the team. The Valve Maintenance Technician will be required to maintain, repair and troubleshoot all plant valves and actuators.
Shift is Tuesday to Saturday; 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

How you will make contributions that matter:

• Ensure safety by work in accordance with the OH & S Regulations, WCB, Food Safety protocol, GMP’s and CSA Codes;
• To operate and troubleshoot equipment failures and break downs from a valve and actuator perspective for the entire production plant;
• To read and understand technical manuals, P&ID’s and schematics.
• To work with Maintenance Planner and independently for scheduled Preventive Maintenance, Work order system and ordering parts with purchaser.
• Maintain a stock of critical spares for each type of valve in the plant.
• Work with others on the maintenance team, operators, and supervisors to troubleshoot issues relating to Valves, Production and CIP.
• Responsible for helping to identify issues regarding HTST’s, CIP Etc.
• Ensure that all work is performed safely while following OH&S, WCB, and company regulations and procedures.
• Must accurately complete and maintain documentation as required for government standards and HACCP;
• Other duties as assigned.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

• Must possess a Journeyman status in either millwright, electrician, or instrumentation;
• Should exhibit initiative, good judgement, diligence, and have excellent work attendance record;
• Must have training of valves functionality and valve maintenance from a reputable source;
• PLC experience would be an asset;
• Ability to work within a fast-paced team environment;
• Must be willing to take additional trainings and travel if required;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, MP2 (Preventive Maintenance Program);
• LOTO/ Confined space/Fall arrest/High Lift trainings;
• Demonstrated solid Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) understanding and compliance. Knowledge of Food Safety Systems would be an asset;
• Proven communication and inter-personal skills;
• Should exhibit initiative, good judgement, diligence, and have an excellent work ethic.
