JOB SUMMARY:
A Medical Records Specialist is responsible for maintaining resident healthcare information and records for our Skilled Nursing Facility. This position will focus on ensuring the facility is meeting HIPAA requirements.
A Medical Records Specialist is responsible for maintaining resident healthcare information and records for our Skilled Nursing Facility. This position will focus on ensuring the facility is meeting HIPAA requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Copy 24 hour to all departments
- Input telephone orders
- Organize charts for new admissions and enter into EHR system
- Collect, assemble, check and file resident charts
- Run MDS due and completed s
- Organize discharge charts
- Review all treatment and medication books and update physician orders
- Other duties as assigned
