The Finance Project Specialist role is responsible for running key strategic projects within the Field Finance Function across the 2 Market Units of SAP Australia, New Zealand and SAP Asia. The role has a dual reporting line to both the Market Unit CFOs of SAP ANZ and SAP SEA, and owns operational tasks focused not only on the orchestration of Market Unit projects deployment, but also into supporting specific regional business initiatives, supporting APJ Regional CFO Program Office.
This position leads Market Unit Strategic Initiatives and Programs and provides high exposure amongst all levels of the organization and offers a valuable development opportunity. The best candidate for this role must bring a good knowledge of SAP business models and solid level of professional experience within finance, have a proactive approach, results and execution-oriented profile, flexibility to handle diverse and cross topics, and ability to influence and work with senior leadership.


WORK SCOPE

  • Leading the execution of initiatives under the sponsorship of the SAP ANZ and SAP Asia CFO.
  • Assist and act as trusted advisor to the CFO in strategic and operational matters including ad hoc business analysis, reporting and preparation of documents for a leadership audience.
  • Act as single point of contact on the deployment of Regional projects affecting ANZ and SEA Field Finance including assessing potential impacts, risks and process changes and advising on decision making.
  • Demonstrates strong ability to influence project members and senior leadership.
  • Liaison with Controlling, Commercial Finance, and Finance leaders from GFSS supporting areas (Financing, Cash Collections, O2I, R2R, LCAs, etc.) to ensure close alignment, simplification, and process improvement.
  • Work with team members of other board areas to pre-align on any necessary matters

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Project Management or Business Administration.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills with a result-driven profile.
  • Excellent communication, verbal and writing competencies to successfully interact with colleagues and executive management.
  • Leadership and team spirit. Ability to lead and coordinate by being influential across the organization, collaborate in multiple Finance topics and understand complex frameworks.
  • Analytical skills and attention to details.
  • Knowledge of Finance, Controlling and Commercial Finance processes are a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint and Excel skills required.
