PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

Come be a part of a scrum team to contribute to the creation of the best product for SAP product portfolio. We are seeking individuals who are self-motivated and passionate about Software development and who are eager to be part of a self-organizing, young, and dynamic team. You will be part of one of our scrum teams that is responsible for all phases of the software development lifecycle including design, development, quality assurance and rump-up support for our customers.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

We are looking for a recent, or soon to be university graduate ready for intense personal and professional growth. Accompanied by an experienced group of colleagues and managers, you will embark on a professional career as part of an interdisciplinary team. You will gain substantial knowledge about SAP’s products and processes and help drive the future of the cloud. You are passionate about learning, are tech-savvy, and are not afraid to take on new methodologies and think outside the box. A certain amount of independence is expected, but we will also facilitate and support you with classroom training, on-the-job learning, and mentoring.

As a software developer, you will be working in a team of experienced colleagues. Your main responsibilities will be to:

Design and develop Software solutions

Show initiative and drive topics to completion in a high quality, speed, reliability and efficiency

Deliver high quality output by implementing QA activities (e.g., unit test, integration test, test automation, test driven development)

Work with product owners to map and to prioritize requirements

Be an active contributor in an Agile (SCRUM) development team

Be flexible to take on additional tasks

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

University Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering

Excellent English (written and verbal)

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Deep knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming

Experienced in Java programming

Experience in microservice-based cloud architectures comprising Cloud Foundry, Spring/Spring Boot, CI/CD (Jenkins), databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, …), messaging (RabbitMQ, KafKa), Git/GitHub, and Maven.

Experienced in Java/NodeJs programming

Knowledge in JavaScript and HTML5 are a clear bonus.

Knowledge of SAP software, ERP/CRM would be an asset

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Willing to learn and drive topics to completion

Team player

WORK EXPERIENCE

This is an entry-level position for upcoming or recent graduates with 0-2 years’ work experience. Even if you only have experience as a working student or intern, we would still love to hear from you!
