Responsible for ensuring that all of the company’s activities adhere to the necessary rules and regulations, and that the company complies with legal/regulatory statutes and jurisdictions.Job Function: Risk ManagementEnsures adherence to the policies and procedures established by the company. Manages policy, standard definition and monitoring of policy, standard implementation, ensuring harmonization and consistency of risk policies. Monitors and manages risk/exposure and compliance with the company’s policies. Identifies, manages and reports on the company’s risk areas. Evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of data, document retention, and monitors systems.Summary of Responsibilities:The Manager, Operational Risk is responsible for evaluating, assessing, monitoring, and mapping all the tools utilized and leveraged in Operational Risk management. The manager role will oversee the Operational Risk team by providing the day-to-day work direction, daily workflow operations, resource allocation, and team productivity.Essential Functions:

• Develops, creates, monitors and reports on all SLA and performance metrics within the scope of the unit
• Sets the day-to-day operational objectives for the Operational Risk team
• Leads and manages a highly skilled team responsible for all Operations Risk
• Collaborates cross-functionally with department managers to ensure policies, risk appetite, and business objectives are properly aligned and executed
• Provides management with concise and timely reporting and analysis as it relates to performance, quality risk and loss exposure in designated unit
• Assists in the design, development, testing, implementation and training of new corporate risk systems and tools
• Communicates with risk team daily on day-to-day priorities and objectives
• Directs and reviews the work of the Fraud team to accomplish operational plans
• Trains team members to enhance knowledge and skills
• Recommends enhancements in systems and day-to-day department processes
• Enforces and ensures risk policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports

Supervisory Responsibilities:Manages subordinate managers and professional staff. Is responsible for the strategic guidance, development and evaluation of employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Santander’s policies and applicable laws.Requirements:

• Education –
• Bachelor’s Degree: Business, Finance, Management, or equivalent field
• or equivalent work experience
• Experience –
• 5-9 years Risk Management/Risk
• 7-10 years Information Technology / Information Security
• Skills & Abilities –
• Demonstrated experience in risk management segment, or ability to perform at proficient level of competence
• Knowledge of risk management best practices, identification, resolution and implementation
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards
• Ability to lead and manage a team of highly skilled professionals
• Ability to interact with all levels of the organizational structure, including senior leadership
• Ability to adjust to new developments/changing circumstances
• Ability to convey a sense or urgency and drive

Working Conditions
