• Sanel NAPA, an industry leader in the distribution of automotive parts, heavy duty truck parts, paint and supplies in Northern New England, and one of the largest NAPA independent store groups in the United States is accepting applications for a Talent Aquisition Specialist.

Job Summary:

A Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, recruiting, and interviewing prospective employees to find the right match for the company’s long-term goals. People play an important role and will be key players of success going forward. Assumes responsibility for effectively providing collaboration and positive working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external customers, as well as implementing and communicating proactive recruitment strategies to retain and attract. Manages the hiring process and hiring systems to achieve positive outcomes while ensuring compliance with all HR policies, recruitment procedures and related legal requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Alignment with Vision, Mission and Values.
• Develops, recommends, coordinates and implements recruitment strategies to promote a constant flow of applicants. Based on market, specialty and department knowledge, forecasts recruitment needs of assigned sections.
• Forecasts long-range employment goals by reviewing and analyzing statistical data. Uses system of record and system s to analyze data and make hiring related decisions/recommendations.
• Manages recruitment process in conjunction with hiring department by ensuring requisitions are complete, positions are budgeted, and job postings are accurate.
• In collaboration with hiring managers, coordinates and implements recruitment strategies for each search including a marketing plan, advertising development and marketing collateral, as well as determining ad placement and media outlets.
• Works closely with the Director and Manager to plan and design new programs/initiatives and enhance/differentiate existing programs in the marketplace.
• Coordinates marketing efforts associated with recruitment conferences including recommendations about which conferences should be attended; placement of conference print ads; selection of “giveaways”, and evaluation of the success of these events.
• Participate in organizations, high school programs and career seminars.
• Researches, writes, proofreads, and edits recruitment features for informational, educational and promotional publications.
• Utilizes current sourcing and interviewing strategies to present hiring managers with the most qualified candidates.
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of and applies all HR and Recruitment policies to the recruitment and hiring process.
• Completes the hiring process by obtaining references, criminal background checks (CBC) and complying with The Office of the Inspector General.
• In collaboration with HR, Finance and the hiring manager, negotiates salary offer.
• Provides career counseling and advises employees on the transfer and referral process. Explains HR policies and procedures to employees and refers to other internal resources. Provides necessary documentation for EEOC and legal charges.
• Facilitates processing of new hires at general orientation. Ensures general orientation process is well communicated, organized and efficient.
• Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
• Maintains and participates in continuing education and professional development.
• Maintains knowledge of current employment laws and trends, as well as compensation policies, practice, benefits and payroll.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years in recruitment, Human Resources, or the equivalent in education and experience required.
• Proficiency with various computer and Web based software required, including Microsoft Office, SharePoint and database experience.
• Professional Human Resources certification strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as strong presentation and written skills.
• Experience in the continual development of talent pipelines and sourcing potential candidates.
• Ability to speak knowledgeably about the company and answer any questions a potential hire may have.
• Firm understanding and implementation of recruiting metrics to drive decision-making is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in talent recruitment as well as developing and executing recruiting marketing and branding strategies.
• Previous experience assisting with onboarding processes.
• Experience working with a diverse team and striving for fairness in all hiring practices.
• Ability to respond rapidly and effectively to changing requirements on short notice.
• Personal qualities of flexibility, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Acts in a professional manner by approaching others in a tactful manner; reacting well under pressure; treating others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; accepting responsibility for own actions, following through on commitments.
• Strong leadership qualities and the ability to complete assignments with little supervisory oversite.
• Frequent travel is required.
• Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
