The role

The Financial Accounting role will be primarily responsible for the completion of payroll accounting, including preparation of general ledger reconciliations, month end reporting and assistance with regulatory returns as required. The role will also encompass accounting for Workcover and Company Secretariat Support.

This role is a full-time requirement, however Sandvik recognises the desire for flexible working options. Flexible employment arrangements include working from home, flexible start/finish times, etc.

Areas of responsibility

• Accounting for payroll transactions including preparation of general journals for the posting of employee provisions, and submission of monthly reporting to Sandvik Group
  
• Preparation of general ledger reconciliations
  
• Accounting for Workcover including performance of annual true up entries
  
• Maintenance of payroll data to ensure integrity, security and confidentiality
  
• Payroll data analysis
  
• Completion of, and assistance with regulatory returns as required
  
• Company Secretariat Support
  
• Responding to Payroll and Company Secretary queries
  
• Participation in external audit activities
  
• Other ad-hoc projects, reporting and tasks as and when required
  

Your profile

You will have a tertiary qualification in Finance/Accounting and 2+ year’s of experience in a large corporate environment. This role would be ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career.

You will be customer focussed, with excellent attention to detail and committed to strict levels of confidentiality.

You are about to prioritise your work to meet key deliverables and a team player who enjoys working collaboratively. You are proud of your accuracy in your work and able to work under pressure.
