Sander’s Markets Hiring for Meat Department Manager Full Time

We are looking to add a new meat department manager to our team! Being in this position your job duties will consist of:

• Composing orders of product for delivery (fresh meat & processed)
• Performing inventory for the department
• Cutting and merchandising for the fresh meat retail case
• Writing the schedule for the department
• Supervising employees within your department (3-7 employees on avg.)
• Communicating with store manager on department condition at end of shift daily
• Date checking and controlling inventory
• Understanding profit margins and how to cut and merchandise fresh meat to reach profit optimization goals
• Cleaning and sanitizing your department daily & being held accountable for cleanliness expectations / standards
• Wrapping fresh cuts for the case
• Working your processed product deliveries each week to the shelf
• Unloading / organizing product deliveries in cooler / freezer
• Changing signs / tags / pricing weekly in correspondence with weekly ads and sales
• Waiting on customers on sales floor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
