• Lead/Teach GED curriculum to students/clients
• Utilize GED materials and other academic curriculum as agreed upon with Young Adult Services Director/Manager.
• Must have experience and academic strengths in all sections of GED (Civics, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies)
• Assess students/clients for test readiness initially and monthly.
• Track and document outcomes as agreed upon with Director/Manager.
• Provide Independent Living Skills and Vocational Training for clients in order to prepare for adulthood.

• Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Young Adult Day Program, including facilitating life skills groups and assuring client safety and participation during programming.

• Complete program documentation; to include progress notes, incident reports, quarterlies, monthlies, and weekly updates.

• Communicate as directed with referring case managers, client families and other agencies involved in client care.

• Transport clients to and from the Young Adult Day Program, program outings, volunteer service, and other appointments as directed by supervisor that aid in the achievement of client treatment plan goals.

• Provide collaboration and support with the Transitional Living Program as the Young Adult Day Program is a component of Young Adult Services with the TLP.

Bachelors degree in Education, minimum of two years education/classroom teaching experience, and two years of behavioral health experience required. Prefer teaching certificate and at least one year of GED instruction. This position is a dual role of teaching education and BHT support.

Work hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 hour shifts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36,000.00 – $38,000.00 per year
