Position Statement
San Domenico School, a K-12 independent school in San Anselmo, is seeking a dynamic professional for the role of Upper School Mathematics Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.
Key Responsibilities:
● Plan lessons and post weekly agendas and resources to online LMS (Canvas) for 4-5 classes.
● Participate in professional learning groups, such as PLC’s.
● Take on an additional major responsibility, such as math competitions.
● Teach lessons in a modified block schedule with clear computational and mathematical explanations, labs, and interactive lessons.
● Serve as an advisor to a small group of about 12 students with weekly meetings, discussions and advising.
● Participate in schoolwide experiential education outings, assemblies and special events.
● Teach a combination of both lower and upper division math courses; flexibility to teach a variety of math courses ranging from Algebra 1 through Multivariable Calculus.
Core Qualifications:
● BS or higher degree in Mathematics or a related field
● Classroom and/or online teaching experience
● Teaching credential
Preferred Qualifications:
● Previous experience working with international students
● Experience teaching with iPads
● Experience building and delivering curriculum through an LMS (Canvas, Blackbaud, etc.)
● Teaching on a modified block schedule
Compensation: Salary $68,500 – $140,000, plus an excellent benefits package including medical/dental/vision/life/403b retirement plan.
