Position Summary

The position of Talent Acquisition Assistant is established to provide recruitment, administrative and project support to the Talent Acquisition Team. Maintains quality service standards set by the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports talent acquisition team in all phases of the recruitment cycle.
• Facilitates the recruitment process in the applicant tracking system (ATS) through posting jobs, qualifying, and screening applicants. Ensures all assigned activity is tracked accurately in the ATS.
• Maintains the non-HR and administrator users in the ATS system, as well as send all guides and information to new users.
• Conducts phone interviews, in-person interviews for select jobs, and also schedules interviews for the recruiters and hiring managers.
• Initiates recruitment assessments for prospective candidates. Conducts initial reviews and screenings to verify minimum requirements. Validates feedback and results to ensure they are in line with our hiring guidelines and requirements.
• Performs references checks, reviews and assesses results. Researches and reconciles information as needed, and makes recommendations based on results.
• Coordinates the agency recruitment process, including but not limited to reviewing resume submissions and scheduling interviews for hiring managers.
• Performs administrative and clerical functions within the department, including but not limited to: correspondence, filing, copying, and faxing.
• Processes and validates invoices related to recruitment and onboarding for payment.
• Runs and distributes routine and scheduled reports, including but not limited to staffing updates, building access reports, and performance reviews.
• Initiates and tracks certification testing, such as bilingual testing.
• Acts as primary administrator of badge access for employees who are starting with SDCCU or transferring internally.
• Works in a confidential environment, handling private employee and applicant data, requiring discretion at all times.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Back up to Onboarding Representative.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)

• Must possess a high school diploma.
• Minimum of 1 year clerical experience plus at least 6 months of customer service experience. Prior HR/Recruitment experience is preferred.
• Basic computer skills with intermediate level MS Office competencies, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Professional and effective written and oral communication skills. Communications must be clear, concise and correct.
• Demonstrated organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Detail oriented, reliable and accurate deliverables.
• Ability to work in a highly confidential work environment and use discretion at all times.
