Sam’s Graces Cafe Hiring for Overnight Baker-Prep Cook at Petoskey , Michigan Full Time

Currently seeking a talented, self-motivated, trustworthy individual who will act as the backbone of our scratch kitchen. 

We are a small, extremely busy, 55-seat cafe in downtown Petoskey, Michigan.  We pride ourselves in serving our customers homemade, healthy, carefully sourced, beautiful food in a fun, warm and welcoming environment.

The overnight baker-prep cook will be in charge of creating our homemade bread and pastries as well as assisting in completing prep cook duties such as homemade pasta, jams, cutting fruit and vegetables, slicing meat and cheese, assisting in line inventory and stock rotation. 

Ideal candidate will have previous baking and cooking experience.  This position will begin in the evening at 9pm and work through the night, Tuesday-Saturday, 40 hours per week.  Employee will have Sunday and Monday off to explore the beautiful area.

A nice private apartment with laundry, wifi and a bathroom is included for a $100 per week, which will be returned on completion of contract.  It is located 18 miles north of the cafe – personal transportation is required.

The season runs May 1-October 31.  Only candidates who are able to complete the season in its’ entirety without any pauses will be considered.
