Salenger, Sack, Kimmel & Bavaro, LLP, a prestigious plaintiff personal injury and medical malpractice law firm is seeking a creative and driven Social Media Marketing Specialist to further increase the firm’s brand awareness. Over the last forty years, SSKB has won over a half billion dollars in verdicts and settlements for plaintiffs seeking justice in personal injury and medical malpractice cases. We take pride in knowing that the firm has been built on the talents and integrity of its wonderful staff and attorneys.
This position is based out of the Woodbury, NY office.
We are looking for a creative, driven, entrepreneur-type spirit to create a thoughtful, monthly social media calendar (including captions and images) for each of our social media platforms, which would include specific captions and images. The firm currently has a presence on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google Business, and TikTok.
The overall goal of our social media strategy is to build TRUST and LOYALTY with our followers and clients, and to portray our firm as the “go-to” personal injury and medical malpractice law firm. As our website suggests, we are compassionate, knowledgeable, experienced, successful, approachable, and relatable. These ideas and concepts must be stressed on our social media platforms as well.
The Social Media Marketing Specialist’s duties include but are not limited to the following responsibilities:
1) Creating social media strategies on a monthly basis. The strategies must be specific to each platform (ie: LinkedIn posts are relevant to other professionals; Facebook posts are relevant to the public at large, etc.).
2) Presenting strategies to be approved monthly by the Managing Partner.
3) Including the following subject matter/topics for posts:
Educational posts: advising our followers and clients on ways to prevent accidents; how to choose medical professionals, instructions to follow if you’re in an accident, etc. Essentially, we’re providing advice that an ordinary person would be interested in receiving.
Examples: “Should I be concerned about the cleanliness of my nail salon?” “What should I know before undergoing elective plastic surgery?” “What if I slip and fall on water in the supermarket?” “What do I do if I trip on a sidewalk defect in New York City?” “What do I do if I’m hit in the rear on Long Island Expressway?” “Is it ok to waive someone on in an intersection?” “What if I’m in a bar and a drunk person attacks me?” “My mom was just diagnosed with uterine cancer. What can I do?”
Verdict/Settlement information posts: news of verdicts and settlements.
Team building events posts: fun things we do as a firm.
Charitable events posts: charities, non-profits, bar associations that we support.
Employee celebrations posts: activities and accomplishments outside of the office.
Fun things to do on Long Island posts.
4) Researching and learning the basics of personal injury and medical malpractice law. Understanding our business is essential to effectively market the firm.
5) Becoming a brand ambassador for the firm. We ask all our employees to promote the firm outside of the office.
6) Preparing weekly emails to send to current and past clients utilizing the firm’s Constant Contacts email list. This list must also be updated regularly to include new clients.
7) Spending 1-2 hours per day engaging with posts from other businesses and people to increase our firm’s visibility and trust. This type of engagement helps increase SEO (search engine optimization).
8) Creating daily “happy birthday” posts to our followers and clients.
9) Creating video footage for posts and reels on all; platforms.
10) Creating ads, invitations, flyers, and other marketing material for events, etc.
11) Coordinating the firm’s events, outings, award ceremonies, etc.
12) Acting as the firm photographer at events and elsewhere.
13) Refreshing and updating our social media platform banners, email templates, etc.
14) Becoming familiar with website maintenance and backend access to the website. Our firm website uses Wordpress.
The ideal candidate will be a vibrant and self-motivated individual who is passionate about social media and marketing and who enjoys being creative and collaborating with others. We enjoy what we do, and we want this individual to enjoy what they do. A minimum of one year’s previous relevant experience in social media and marketing is preferred. Excellent writing skills, proficiency with a variety of social media platforms and Microsoft Office applications is required.
