What This Position is All About:

As part of the Digital Product team, the Business Analyst engages cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Technology, Site Experience, etc.) to plan, elicit, analyze, document and validate system requirements that meet business needs. Working on all sizes of development projects and programs, the Business Analyst assesses solution options and validates the overall quality of deliverables. The Business Analyst leverages an analytical approach and techniques to understand business problems/requirements and proposes a recommended solution.

This role is cross-functional in nature, and the BA will work closely with internal Business users across Saks OFF 5TH to understand their vision and priorities. This role will also work within the cross-functional IT organization, and at times with external vendors to prioritize requirements.

Who Are You:

• Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Process Engineering or related field.
• CCBA, CBAP certification preferred.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience as Business Analyst. Previous Retail / Mobile application / E-Commerce experience.
• Full lifecycle implementation experience.
• Hands-on Data mapping & data modeling experience (eg. UML).
• Knowledge of Test Management Tools (e.g. ALM), Jira.
• Proficient with MS Office tools including Visio, PowerPoint.
• Ability to develop functional requirements, technical requirements and user stories.
• Understanding of SDLC methodology a plus.

As The Business Analyst, you will:

• Analyze business and user needs; gather business requirements, using a structured process, and document functional requirements. Work with developers to define system scope and objectives based on both user needs and good understanding of applicable business systems and industry standards.
• Devise or modify procedures to solve problems and recommend enhancements to business processes to support changing business requirements.
• Perform application system analysis, prepare data/process flow diagrams and design screen/report layouts as part of business systems solution/application design.
• Develop and/or assist the project team in developing a clearly defined and agreed upon project functional and non-functional requirements document and develop systems context with Integration Analysts/Technical Developers.
• Assist project team in presenting an application/solution context to IT and business teams, including Third Parties.
• Assist users in developing conversion and implementation procedures.
• Document all problems and work to resolve them, reporting progress on problem resolution to management.
