Role Summary:
Product Manager with retail experience to manage and support Point of Sale, Clienteling, and other Store Systems technology projects.
As a Product Manager – Store Technology, you are one of the cornerstones for retail store system applications securing business requirements for our Saks stores. This position will be responsible for providing oversight on business processes and technology improving the posture of store applications by understanding store operations, and working closely with the business and cross-functional technology teams to document business requirements and ensure all innovation will support business operations seamlessly. You will serve as the liaison and bridge the gap between technology and business teams. You will be responsible and participate in technology improvement innovations from concept to implementation.
Key Qualifications:
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination prior to beginning employment.
College Degree in Information Systems or Business Management with 2+ years experience.
Product Management and Business Requirements expertise with retail experience.
Project Management expertise in Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management framework.
Business process improvement experience with ability to flowchart as-is and to-be processes.
Self-motivated and independent worker known for delivering tasks on time and within budget.
Ability to understand Information Systems, integrations, and systems designs.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment to support business innovation.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
Strong verbal and communication skills.
Role Description:
The Product Manager identifies the customer need and business objectives for a new application or feature and will fulfill and support the project team to execute.
Work with business and technology teams, as well as third-party vendors, to secure and document Business Requirements to be leveraged for technical requirements.
Understand and represent the business stakeholders during the life cycle of a technical project.
Coordinate and chair meetings to ensure all stakeholders are actively engaged and to drive resolution to business and technical challenges as they arise.
Develop use cases for end-to-end testing and support testing efforts to ensure business requirements are satisfied.
Partner with Learning and Development to support any training needs related to a project.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert as needed for applications in portfolio.
Participate on multiple projects simultaneously to support project teams.
