What This Position Is All About:
The Editorial Photographer is responsible for supporting on-figure editorial photography within the creative team. In partnership with our creative team consisting of in-house and freelance Art Directors, Stylists, and Digital Techs, the role requires meeting daily production levels while maintaining high quality standards. This role will also require shooting still life editorials when needed. Photographers must provide a link to their website/portfolio upon submitting a resume.
The role of Editorial Photographer is responsible for (but is not limited to):
Shooting multiple editorial images daily across a variety of styled product categories
while adhering to standards
Partner with art direction and styling teams to maintain concepts and test new methods
and ideas to exceed expectations and ensure excellence
Effectively communicate creative or production notes between Studio and Creative
teams
Quality control of own work before uploading to Image Edit or Creative teams
Time management on set and oversight of crew including Digital Techs, freelance
Stylists, Models, etc.
Ensuring workflows and processes are properly followed
Support Supervisor with maintenance and organization of studio space and equipment,
including ordering of supplies and rentals for upcoming shoots
Partner with Supervisor to find efficiencies and improvements in workflows and
processes
Cross-functional partners at this level include:
Art Directors
Production Team
Image Editing Team
Sample Management
Who You Are:
Self-driven and possesses an enthusiastic work ethic
Effective at communicating creative ideas and collaborate in a multi-team environment
Knowledgeable of photographic techniques such as lighting and composition
Productivity-focused and quick problem solver with proven ability to manage multiple
projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
Sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure to deadline-based work
Comfortable with learning new skills and willing to take on responsibilities as needed by
the team
You Also Have:
2+ years of on-set experience digital studio experience, preferably in fashion or related field
Expert level proficiency with the industry standard software and equipment
(Adobe Creative Cloud, Canon Camera Systems, ProFoto Lighting, Capture One, and
Mac OS)
Problem solving skills and ability to perform under pressure
Strong written and oral communication skills
Integrity and teamwork skills
Understanding of luxury customer
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of equipment
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination prior to beginning employment.
