Saint Luke’s Health System Hiring for Patient Access Representative, Full Time Day- Saint Luke’s East Hospital at Lees Summit, MO Full Time

Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit is currently looking for a full-time Patient Access Representative who will meet the registration needs in various Outpatient departments Monday through Friday. Hours will be Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 7:30am-4pm. On Tuesday and Friday, the hours will vary. This position requires excellent customer service, focus, clear communication, strong computer skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to multitask in a fast paced work environment. We offer a competitive pay and benefits package.

Shift Details: Monday-Friday with varying hours

Responsibilities

• Conducts professional patient interviews obtaining demographic, financial and biographical information
• Scheduling walk in Xray, EKG, ABG
• Understands insurance terminology, obtaining information to appropriately bill payors, verify patient insurance eligibility, confirm benefits eligibility, and gather statistical information in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Complete payment transactions by using proper negotiating techniques to professionally collect money owed by our Patients and Guarantors, including making referrals to appropriate financial resources such as payment plans and lines of credit
• Escorting the patient to a registration office or to the Surgery waiting room
• Delivery of quality performance and service excellence
