As a Finance Manager – Lease Accounting and Control you’ll be responsible for assuring the accuracy of all lease accounting, in particular data and accounting recognition calculations in Qube Horizon and associated accounting entries and reporting, through implementation and monitoring of effective controls over data entry, processing and reporting. You’ll develop process enhancements and automation. You’ll be working collaboratively with other Finance Managers to resolve complex issues and produce the consolidated Group results on a periodic, half year and full year basis.

More about the role:

• Responsible for implementing and managing a control framework for Lease accounting.
• Influence other areas of the business at a senior level to identify, manage and drive change to enhance processes.
• Identify strategic and operational risks and opportunities and flag these to the Senior Finance Manager.
• Work with external and internal stakeholders to ensure control reliance in Qube Horizon.
• Support Lease Reporting team in reconciliation of control accounts on complex issues.
• Support and challenge the business and external stakeholders to adhere to data inputting and collection standards.
• Responsible for the accuracy of the Lease accounts.
• Develop automation solutions to enhance accuracy and timeliness of data.
• Ensure correct presentation in the periodic Group accounts and annual stat accounts
• Provide IFRS 16 technical support and advice to the business
• Assist with the production of technical papers for internal and external stakeholders.

More about you:

• Qualified accountant with good knowledge of IFRS standards, particularly IFRS 16.
• Experience in practice and industry.
• Excellent communication skills including Stakeholder Management.
• Good system skills (Excel & Oracle).
• Excellent forward planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to create and present complex information clearly.
• Committed to driving change.
• Self-motivated and driven.
