Saguaro Lake Ranch Hiring for Outdoor Crew Manager at Mesa, Arizona Full Time

You will be working hands-on with guests and team members to provide an excellent river experience, being responsible for the Outdoor Activities Team setting up, cleaning, and putting away equipment (kayaks, paddle boards, tubes, paddles, etc.) as well as keeping up on general maintenance on all equipment. You’ll also be giving proper verbal instruction via group orientations, and be capable of assisting our guests every step of the way from check-in to fully independent floating, as well as training new team members to do so accordingly. Eventually, you will train and execute on guided river tours as well. Quality Control does not scare you, as you are a bit of a perfectionist wanting to make sure your team does a great job and has all the tools and training they need to be successful. You can be creative in coming up with new ways to generate revenue and fun for your team and department. We are all one team and help each other out, so if not busy with the outdoor department you jump in wherever needed.

This role does require weekend availability!

What will you be doing?

• Managing and training the Outdoor Team
• Hands-on Leadership
• Equipment set up / clean up and Maintenance
• Inventory Control
• Leading and Training on Group Orientations
• Quality Control
• Ensuring team is trained on first aid / first responder tasks
• Shuttle driver – Transport guests and kayaks back to ranch
• Other duties as they arise

Qualifications

• Age 21+
• Prior leadership experience preferred
• Clean driving record
• Paddling experience is a plus, comfort around moving water is required (must be able to swim!)
• Able to lift 50lbs or more
• Able to work outside in the Arizona weather conditions
