Digital Marketing Lead

Sage Marketing Group (SageMG) in Fort Collins, Colorado is looking for a dedicated, hard-working Digital Marketing Lead to join our fun, whirlwind environment. To be the right person for the job, you must be able to multitask while maintaining incredible attention to detail. Ideally, you would be based in our office (it’s a fun place), but an exception might be made for the right candidate.

The position will fill two primary needs:

1. Become our agency’s defacto digital marketing expert and digital architect. As SageMG is working to grow to the next level, this person will help construct our marketing tech stack and identify the right ing and communication tools. He or she will also need to be adept at working with key advertising platforms to find the best means of reaching our clients’ audiences.

2. Work directly with key agency clients to meet and exceed their daily/weekly/monthly digital marketing needs.

Sage is a boutique marketing agency that provides a multitude of marketing services in-house. As a result, everyone on the team wears a number of different hats.

The hats you might wear include:

• Be an awesome team member and account manager/hands-on guru on the SageMG digital marketing team.
• Love the acronyms! SEM/SMM/SEO, and email, too: Creatively plan and implement new campaign ideas for clients that span all things digital marketing, then keep them running and optimized to get results.
• Be old school when needed. Use traditional marketing opportunities to complement digital marketing as you see fit.
• Look into the future. Be able to forecast, scope, and execute campaign ideas for clients, and then analyze the numbers after the fact to determine what went well, what went wrong, and what we can do better for our clients.
• Be trendy. Keep up with the latest digital marketing trends and platforms. We want an out-of-the-box thinker who loves keeping up with the latest digital trends.
• Be a perfectionist. Optimize website content and branded channels using best-practice SEO strategies on all sides of the page.
• Be proactive. Regular communication with clients is a must.
• Get webby with it. Use project management skills to develop client websites by capturing a vision, mapping pages and content strategy, collaborating on content and design, and bringing the site to life with the web development team.
• Tell a good story. Ensure consistency in brand voice and messaging as it relates to content marketing and advertising for a client’s business.
• Help hook ’em. Architect marketing automation and drip campaigns to nurture leads and customers for our clients.

The ideal person for this job:

• Has strong attention to detail and is process oriented.
• Has worked with all the major advertising platforms: Google/YouTube, Facebook/Insty, LinkedIn, Amazon, Bing, Pinterest, TikTok, and others.
• Has working knowledge of WordPress and Shopify as our primary platforms.
• Works well independently and as part of a team. A self-starter (and finisher) who takes initiative, loves to learn and expand their capabilities, and offers to share their knowledge would thrive at SageMG.
• Has the ability to multitask.
• Has excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Stuff We’d Like You to Have:

• 5+ years of relevant digital marketing experience.
• Degree in digital media, advertising, marketing, communications, public relations or a similar discipline, or relevant experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills that include comfort communicating with clients over video, phone, and email.
• A desire to stay on top of emerging digital tools and platforms.
• A detailed understanding of and experience with SEO, SEM, and SMM.
• Expertise in Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, Meta Business Suite, and Facebook Ads Manager, among other platforms. Brownie points for holding current certifications.
• A good understanding of the marketing funnel.
• Expert knowledge of the best digital marketing and web practices and industry-accepted benchmarks.
• Experience using WordPress, Shopify, and MailChimp/Constant Contact.
• Experience working within CRM systems and marketing automation.
• Fluency in the Google Workspace/Business Apps & Collaboration Tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proven ability to be data-driven in all marketing capacities.

This opportunity is full-time, preferably in-person at our amazing downtown Fort Collins location, but we will consider the right remote candidate.
