Safety Insurance Company Hiring for Risk Analyst Job at Boston, MA Full Time

The Risk Analyst assists in the development of the company’s risk oversight program and supporting technology solution. This position focuses on providing business process owners insight into their risk ownership responsibilities through the design, development and deployment of the corporate risk intelligence platform. The Analyst also participates in the completion of various activities to support the objectives of the corporate enterprise risk management and compliance programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, implementation and administration of the corporate risk intelligence program
• Participate in the development of risk awareness training programs and attend all internal risk based forums
• Monitor end-user adoption of implemented technology solutions
• Act as the liaison with business process owners, Legal, Risk Management and Internal Audit to identify risk intelligence information needs
• Analyze workflows and identify opportunities for improvement
• Translate user requirement into data extracts, risk report and dashboards
• Propose a range of solutions to complex problems to risk, audit and compliance management and/or business leadership
• Work with business process owners in the identification and collection of key risk and performance metrics.
• Maintain the corporate risk intelligence program’s production policies & procedures
• Update the risk management program’s supporting documentation and assist in the preparation of quarterly packages.
• Assists in the gathering of documentation necessary to support external examination requests.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Technology or Business Administration
• 1 – 3 years of relevant work experience; Audit, system development or governance, risk and compliance experience is preferred
• General understanding of process re-engineering
• General understanding of Agile and Waterfall System Development Life Cycle
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (Written and oral)
• Self-motivated, Strong analytical, technical and problem solving skills
• Appreciate challenges and can adapt to rapidly changing environment
• General understanding of dashboard and report building; Cognos knowledge is a plus
• Can work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, OneNote
