CLASSIFICATION SUMMARY :
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing a high volume of outbound shipment activities, while managing costs and performance.
Responsibilities include scheduling shipments with our customers, ensuring all the documentation for these shipments are both complete and accurate, controlling cost of these shipments, and compiling certain shipping and receiving s for upper management.
This position works directly on-site at the client’s facility, to maintain the flow of goods shipping out of the plant, ensuring that both internal and external customer demands are fulfilled timely, compliantly, and completely according to standard processes and client deliverables.
SERIES LEVEL :
The Logistics Specialist is a stand-alone position.

Verify that all shipments scheduled for pickup have left the facility; discrepancies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
College degree preferred, one (1) to two (2) years’ experience required in warehouse or shipping, SAP Experience preferred, customer service experience preferred.
y combination of relevant education, training, or experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job will be considered.
Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Be comfortable working in a fast past environment, be able to resolve client and carrier issues with ease, demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, Have high proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Analyze data to improve processes within the warehouse.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Positions in this class typically requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and walking the warehouse all day.
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
Loud warehouse environment, Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times.
