Your Mission

As a Frontend Software Engineer at SADA, you will be responsible for the following:

Contribute code on the front-end codebase on a regular cadence as an individual contributor

Contribute to documenting and developing software

Contribute to architecture and technical design discussions, code reviews, and technical design/specifications in collaboration with the frontend team

Expectations

Onboarding/Training – The first several weeks of onboarding are dedicated to learning and will encompass learning materials/assignments and compliance training, as well as meetings with relevant individuals. Details of the timeline are shared closer to the start date.

System Thinking – What we build is complex and elements connect to each other in different ways. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills is a must. Additionally, you must be able to see the full picture and drill into details.

Job Requirements

Required Credentials:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent job-related experience with 1 – 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer (or similar title)

Required Qualifications:
1+ years combined professional experience building responsive, user-friendly web applications

Strong experience in front-end technologies/languages such as Typescript and REACT

Good knowledge of data gateways written with Node.js

Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with FE developers, UX Designers, and Product Managers

Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and techniques

Unit testing experience and willingness to test developed code

Comprehension and appreciation for best practices and design patterns as well as an ability to build and recommend these as needed on the front-end

Useful Qualifications:
Familiarity with GraphQL and related libraries

Experience maintaining and instrumenting CI/CD pipelines leveraging tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis, etc.

Familiar with microservice oriented architectures, associated deployment technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc) and the pitfalls of distributed systems

Experience working with geospatial data and concepts such as ESRI/ArcGIS, Google Maps, etc.
