Process Engineer

Location: Sheboygan, WI

JOB SUMMARY:

Improve the safety, efficiency, and reliability of production processes and equipment through the application of engineering principles. Facilitate trials, equipment upgrades, and new equipment installations with careful planning, documentation, and communication. Support production and maintenance through root cause analysis, LSS methodologies, and periodic risk assessments.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate plant requirements
• Ability to effectively communicate with and support multiple departments including R&D, sales, production, production personnel, etc.
• Capable of performing under pressure and keeping track of multiple issues simultaneously
• Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to keep information readily available for review
• Project Management

• Work with manufacturing departments to improve current production processes. Improvements would include, but not be limited to productivity improvements, set up time reductions, overall efficiencies improvements, and/or scrap reduction initiatives.
• Assist in providing technical support as it applies to changes to the production process
• Work with subsidiary manufacturing departments as liaison to assist in the implementation of suggested improvement to the process and production procedures
• Assist with the launches of new and/or different production projects and or trials
  • Design of needed equipment as required
  • Building the systems (with the help of maintenance personnel or outside vendors)
  • Launching the process and making it production ready
  • Work with related departments to implement work instructions and routines

PAY RATE: Based on experience & qualifications.
