The role

As part of our Corporate group, the Applications Support Analyst will provides support for Saab’s business applications, tools and information systems used across Saab’s classified and unclassified computing environments. Drawing on their knowledge and experience, the Applications Support Specialist will help to develop creative and innovative solutions as Saab’s business needs dictate.

Further, the successful candidate will:

• Maintain the integrity and smooth operation of Saab’s business applications and information systems;
• Troubleshoot and resolve assigned incidents or service requests whilst ensuring prompt professional service;
• Installation, configuration and support of corporate and enterprise wide support tools, systems, applications and technologies;
• Where appropriate, work with business stakeholders in the tailoring of commercial software products to meet specific business requirements;
• Work, communicate and cross-skill with other members of the Applications team, and where appropriate within the greater ICT group;
• Development, customisation and implementation of internal applications and/or systems to meet user needs
• Afterhours work may be required to support critical issues and maintenance activities

Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office, 9 day fortnight and part time (0.8 FTE minimum) will be considered for this role.

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

• Hands on experience working within applications support team, or similar, supporting corporate business systems;
• Broad knowledge of business tools, applications and technologies;
• Demonstrated experience supporting and configuring commercial software products, such as ERP’s, Financial Systems, HR Systems, and Engineering toolsets;
• Demonstrated experience with Database technologies, such as Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle;
• Demonstrated experience in one or more scripting/programming languages (e.g. .Net, PowerShell);
• Demonstrated experience with application deployment and release management;
• Fundamental understanding and awareness of information security and how this is applied in operational environments

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
