About the role

As a Software Development Lead at RVezy you will be responsible for leading and managing a fully cross-functional team to deliver high-value outcomes for the business.

Key Responsibilities

Leading and mentoring a software development team on technology and process improvements

Lead the software development process activities as a Scrum Master, including

Sprint Planning

Daily Scrum

Sprint Review

Sprint Retrospective

Story Refinement

Backlog Refinement and prioritization

Work collaboratively with the other leads and business units to ensure the work is well prioritized and aligned with the rest of the organization

Promote employee training and career development with personal career paths and objectives

Participate in team OKR planning

Design, prioritize, own and execute on you Team’s Objectives and Key Results (OKR’s)

Take ownership of your team’s key business domains, ensuring highest quality work and output from the team

Recognizing technical debt and advocating for fixing it using the best tool for the job and reducing waste.

Advocate for quality, best practices, design, architecture, and automation

Facilitate problem-solving and solutions design

Create and review technical design documents, approving or recommending changes to technical solution

Most importantly you have fun accomplishing tasks with a positive and winning attitude.

Qualifications:
3+ years of experience leading software development teams

History of improving the efficiency of software development through engagement, and direct functional people leadership

You have experience in end-to-end SaaS product development at scale

Ability to delegate technical skills and knowledge on the team that focuses on producing the highest quality product in the shortest time.

You provide guidance and ensure the team is making sound technology decisions while balancing business and technical constraints

Known for providing a supportive and productive team environment in previous roles

Act as an encouraging, transparent and supportive communication resource, especially when it comes to technical disagreements.

Nice to have skills:
Hands-on technical leadership experience for teams of 2+

Experience with collaboration and documentation tools such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence, Microsoft SharePoint and the Office suite

Relevant industry experience such as in travel, SaaS, insurance, online marketplaces or e-commerce companies.
