Supported Play Group Faciltator

Temporary Part time – 12 months

38 hrs / fortnight

$39.42 ph + super

The Supported Playgroup Facilitator will deliver smalltalk supported playgroups to meet the needs of the families with young children in Wangaratta.

The role will build engagement with families, deliver fun and engaging playgroup sessions in a welcoming and inclusive environment as well as connecting families with other services.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver supported playgroup sessions
• Deliver individual parent coaching with families
• Utilise smalltalk strategies to build confidence in parents and carers
• Connect families with community services and programs

Skills and experience:

Qualified Early Childhood Educator, Social Worker, Community Services Worker or Nurse (Parent/Infant Mental Health or a related discipline).

Previous experience in early childhood settings and play-based learning with experience in group facilitation. Experience in working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
