This key role involves pro-actively assisting a group of service areas to achieve their objectives through the provision of expert HR advice and assistance across a range of people management issues – organisational design, change management, discipline, sickness management, remuneration, employee well-being and staff development. This role will also provide advice on Health and Safety in relation to workforce health, safety and well-being, working collaboratively with the Head of HR and other officers responsible for H&S in the organisation, and commissioning expert assistance from an H&S consultant as needed.
A strong working knowledge of employment law and its practical application to a wide variety of casework is essential together with sound practical experience of change management.
Flexible and pragmatic, you will have strong analytical skills and be an effective problem solver. Ideally possessing the Associate Diploma in HR, you will have good written and verbal communication skills and resilience.
In relation to the Health and Safety aspects of this role, previous experience of providing advice on employee aspects of H&S is required and ideally possession of NEBOSH certificate or equivalent; or a willingness to train for this.
