Rugby Football League Hiring for Finance Assistant Job at Manchester, England Full Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the RFL, the national governing body for Rugby League in the UK. We are seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant. You will act as support for the Finance department and oversee the transactional level activity.

Principal duties will include, but not limited to:

Key responsibilities for this role include:

• Cash book management
• Purchase ledger management, including processing purchase orders, invoices and payment runs
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Provision of support and training to all colleagues around use of accounting systems and financial queries
• Community club compensation – liaise with the Operations department to calculate amounts due and distribute funding
• Club central distributions – take responsibility for ensuring club distributions are accurate and received by clubs on time each month
• Financial sustainability – oversee timeline including receipt of payroll returns, half and full year returns from clubs, preparing analysis for review by Head of Finance and Director of Finance
• Expenses – oversee process around expense reimbursement for both the RFL and RLWC
• Credit card – manage and process credit card statements for both the RFL and RLWC
• Club prizes and levies – monitor payment of club levies, prize monies and travel grants throughout the season
