Job Purpose Summary

This position is responsible and accountable for developing, implementing, administering, and managing the Company’s talent acquisition programs for restaurant management teams (General Managers, Assistant Managers, and District Managers). Will also be involved with RSC Corporate Talent Acquisition.

Essential Job Duties

• Establishes partnerships with District Managers (DM’s) and Regional Directors (RDs) to attract, retain and motivate the highest-level TM’s necessary to successfully contribute to Rubio’s results
• Supervises the recruiting team and reporting on their performance
• Initiates and implements recruiting programs in partnership with District Managers including targeting resume sources (job fairs, websites, newspaper ads), soliciting known management talent, pre-screening resumes, and arranging subsequent interviews with District Managers (DMs)
• Collaborates with management to develop and implement staffing plans
• Conducts and manages local and regional recruitment efforts working with internal and external resources that are consistent with the organizations’ recruitment strategy and processes
• Develops and maintains selection criteria that are consistent and reliable
• Supports social media strategy and the utilization of social media tools and networks
• Manages and administers job applicant tracking system and video interview system
• Manages, tracks, and communicates candidate/sourcing data to Ops Team
• Selects, reviews, and manages vendor service providers providing them with necessary information on company requirements, policies, and procedures
• Coordinates hiring process by assisting District Managers with reference checking
• Attends meetings to become thoroughly acquainted with staffing needs. Develops and executes communication and training on recruiting policies and procedures
• Manages workload, projects, and assignments for recruiting Team Members (if applicable)
• Develops, manages, and executes recruiting related “drives,” contests, and programs
• Performs as Recruiting/Employment Brand Ambassador
• Completes additional tasks and projects as assigned

Job Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience recruiting restaurant managers, and 5 years related experience in Human Resources or equivalent combination.

Knowledge: Knowledge of processes and systems for recruiting in the restaurant industry, and project management skills.

Language Skills: Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.

Math Skills: Strong analytical math skills.

Other Skills: Excellent analytical and project management skills. Word-processing and spreadsheet software package skills. Creativity to develop unique and effective recruiting programs and incentives.

Reasoning Abilities: Ability to problem-solve and interpret instructions and guidelines.

Other Abilities: Ability to train team members on Company policies and practices. Ability to work in a team environment.

Reporting Relationships

Reports to the CPO.

Major Business/Professional Contacts

Frequent contact with various levels of RSC and Operations Field Management concerning staffing plans, questions, concerns, reports, information, and assistance.

Working and Environmental Conditions

Typically functions in a restaurant and/or office environment. Hybrid schedule available; must have reliable transportation to our corporate office located in Carlsbad.

Physical Demands

Requires sitting for extended periods of time. May require periods of time in front of a computer.
