Rubicon Water Hiring for Software Tester Job at Melbourne Full Time

About the role

In this Software Tester role, you will apply your hands-on experience to be an important member in one of our agile development teams, collaborating with product owners and engineers throughout the software development process to refine and groom requirements, design test cases, perform both manual and automated testing, and serve as a champion of quality within the team.

Key responsibilities in this role will include:

• Design, develop and execute test scripts using appropriate tools and methodologies
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved, and also review and provide feedback to tests written by developers.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products and their on-going releases.
• Installation, configuration and maintenance of testing environments.
• Participate in estimation and planning of testing activities during sprint planning. Liaise with development team and product owners to identify where tests and test plans are required.
• Performance post deployment testing in UAT and production environments.
• Developing and automating the execution of tests where appropriate.

Skills & Experience

We want to hear from you if you have the following:

• Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar field, ISTQB certification
• Proven experience in software quality assurance, with strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to understand software systems as whole while working in an agile development environment
• Experience with manual testing of complex software product suites.
• Ability to write clear, concise and comprehensive test cases and test plans
• Experience with automation testing will be highly regarded – this can be UI or API testing, Selenium, UFT frameworks and REST Assured.
• Proficiency in Java, solid knowledge and use of SQL and scripting
