About the role
The IT system administrator is in charge of purchasing, setting up, maintaining, and supporting Rubicons’ varied IT infrastructure as well as providing employee support. This position, which reports to the General Manager of Software, calls for a person with the ability to self-manage corporate IT operations and interact with staff members at all levels in order to support a range of technologies, from straightforward laptop support to more intricate server infrastructure and virtualized services setup.
In addition to dealing with tactical activities, the IT function at Rubicon is driven via fortnightly sprint planning, and the role has typically entailed supervision of junior IT staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support office infrastructure
• Procure, provision and support staff assets such as laptops & phones
• Work with vendors for licenses and corporate IT accounts
• Maintain infrastructure across Rubicon’s global offices, including VPNs, filesystems, & backups
• Administrate over network infrastructure, active directory, azure, MS365, firewalls etc.
• Work across the business with various stakeholders
• Respond and rectify corporate IT incidents

Skills & Experience

• Strong IT aptitude across a range of hardware, tools, technologies
• Windows administration
• Virtualisation such as VMWare
• Firewalls, switches, servers, backups, active directory, azure
• Self-motivated, friendly and collaborative approach
• Ability to troubleshoot and fix tactical issues

Desirable

• Formal IT qualification
• Linux expertise
• Scripting ability (PowerShell, python, bash)
• Ability to contribute to Jenkins pipelines
