As a Production Supervisor, GMP, you are critical in delivering an incredible consumer experience. You are the leader of the Production Area during your shift and will be the area owner for our EU-GMP certified production facility. Responsibilities:
Area Ownership:
· Own the GMP Area, including 5S, equipment, materials, people, and processes.
· Process Supervision in GPP, GACP and GMP certified areas
· Oversee daily production activities, including:
· Deliver our controlled processes for all production activities including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WI’s) and quality assurance measures.
· Promote and maintain the highest levels of cleanliness; ensure all sanitation criteria are met.
· Ensure inventory and quality record-keeping is completed accurately and on-time by our Leads. Verify and correct records as needed.
· Responsible for product quality inspections to guarantee all standards and specifications are met throughout the production process.
· Identify non-conformances. Initiate and resolve NCR’s as required.
· Identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities in all areas of Production.
People Management:
· Maintain work schedules to ensure labor is allocated correctly for production requirements.
· Administer training and onboarding programs to processing, extraction, sanitation, and packaging teams.
· Ensure that Production Leads and Operators know and follow safety protocols and all SOPs, WI’s and quality measures. · Ensure their training is documented in a timely fashion.
· Take charge of our team of Production Leads to deliver the daily production schedule through our Operators.
· Guide Leads in assessing labour needs and adjusting as required.
Equipment and Materials Management:
· Understand how all production equipment works and be able to train Leads and Operators.
· Liaise with the Maintenance Department to ensure preventative maintenance schedules are adhered to and breakdowns are correctly in a timely fashion.
· Work cross-departmentally on improvement opportunities for our equipment.
· Ensure serviceability and maintenance of all manufacturing equipment and systems.
· Help track and maintain consumable inventory levels.
· Perform SCH (Security Clearance Holder duties) duties as per Health Canada and Company’s requirement.
· Take part in, and lead, Continuous Improvement projects as directed by the Production Manager.
· Send Production Reports at end of shift to summarize schedule attainment and shift performance.
· Maintain KPI tracking files accurately and on-time.
· Other duties as assigned.
Who we are looking for:
· You are a vocal leader with a passion for cannabis – experience with cannabis is an asset, but not required.
· You lead by example and strive for excellence in your work.
· You are passionate about coaching and mentoring.
Requirements
· 5+ years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced production setting with at least 20 staff members.
· 3+ years of experience supervising in GMP certified and/or cannabis facilities.
· Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment.
· Experience with lean manufacturing philosophy and concepts is a must.
· Prior experience with coaching and training people.
· Demonstrated excellence in communication, problem solving and organization.
· Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including evenings and weekends.
· Fluency in Spanish is an asset.
· Fluency in Hindi or Punjabi is an asset.
· Ability to obtain Security Clearance through the Cannabis Act is a must. If you already have Security Clearance, it will be considered an asset.
