As the Talent Development Manager, you will work closely with our HR Business Partners and business managers to define business priorities and designs solutions that are joined up with the overall employee experience we want to create for our people. Understand the organisational expertise that we need to build, develop and maintain to achieve our business goals.

Deliver solutions that are purposeful (e.g. not just courses). Create digital resources & learning interventions that move at the speed of business to solve performance challenges in real-time

Understand the career choices of individuals, create and build interventions to ensure we can move and grow our talent
Coach and support individuals identified for move opportunities, support our business to identify high potential individuals and drive a culture of self learning
Work to develop and embed the behaviours that allows RSM to perform at a higher level than its competitors
Ensure we have a learning platform created that can be used to provide our people with learning resources and a community where they can share and feedback
Develop the skills and capabilities of our managers and support them with their team’s development and learning including coaching them on how to have regular and human career and development conversations
Design initiatives that encourage our people to take ownership of their own careers and learning, but providing them with a range of different options, resources, and experiences
Work with HRMANAGER’s and managers to identify and develop their talent and ensure we create as many career-defining experiences for all our people e.g. peer to peer learning, mentoring, job shadowing, projects etc
Work as part of the Talent development team to develop medium to long term Learning Paths for each learner and make use of common learning needs i.e. efficiency opportunities
Uses data and insight to help us understand what our people need, the impact of interventions, and develop a clear oversight of the organisations capability
Focus on our 3 key Learning elements, Leading self •Leading people •Leading Org – ensure that individuals are clear about what is expected of them in their role
Ensure the Learning environment moves from ‘push’ to ‘pull’, simplify the learner experience to increase self-paced learning through online, on-demand and on-the-go interventions
Raise the bar on leadership capability. Supporting First-line Managers to drive performance and create a development culture
Continually review and develop new learning and development offerings aligned to national service lines and build relationships with key stakeholders to support people development
Continually review existing structured leadership development programmes, measuring impact of learning and ROI
Make recommendations for new approaches to Talent development – understanding market trends and how RSM can leverage external insights
Leads the development and implementation of our approach to Performance Management using the very latest trends
Develops Diversity and Inclusion learning interventions to raise awareness and encourage open and honest conversations
Assess training needs and liaise with relevant L&D and technical training managers to provide solutions
Minimum Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
Knowledge of the latest Talent and Learning trends but in practical terms – not just a theory
An excellent relationship builder and communicator, with the ability to move between listening to, guiding and coaching others at all levels
Has the ability to make quick, sound decisions based on knowledge and judgment
Common sense – always spot opportunities to simplify and improve processes to drive better results
Marketing, communication and presentation skills to facilitate projects and initiatives
