Diabetes Educator
Ongoing Position – 16 hours per week

The Diabetes Education Team provides education and support to all women with diabetes with the aim of preventing diabetes complications.

Your contribution
The Diabetes educator is a clinical expert who is an important member of the Diabetes Service and an integral part of the multidisciplinary TeamCare Team. With the support of the Diabetes Team, the diabetes educator provides and coordinates best practice clinical care for women having maternity care both as an outpatient and inpatient and also provides consultation to non-maternity areas at the Women’s.

Influenza Vaccination Requirement
In line with the Health Services Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers) Act 2020, some health care workers are now required to have their flu vaccination to work in health care. Evidence of vaccination is required.
As this role fits into category A or B of the departments risk ratings, applicants will be required to have been vaccinated against influenza. Evidence of vaccination is required.
