We have an exciting opening at Royal Mail for a Future Talent Lead who will work closely with the Director of Talent and the broader HR team.
The Future Talent Lead will play an integral role in building and implementing a sustainable future talent strategy to facilitate business transformation.
You will be expected to provide visionary and strategic leadership to internal and external efforts within Royal Mail and act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the Director of Talent, Chief Talent Officer, and HR Executive Team.
This is a Hybrid Working Role, with travel to Farringdon London for meetings and when required.
About the role
You will serve as a key strategic/business partner regarding Future Talent, with an excellent knowledge of related issues, topics, programs, and trends.
Collaborate across the talent management team to align activities related to Future Talent with strategic talent acquisition, development, learning and diversity and inclusion
Support the Director of Talent to drive the implementation of impactful initiatives across Royal Mail, align with broader HR and People priorities, collaborate with the company’s compliance/reporting programs, and monitor progress toward goals.
Provide advocacy, support, and governance for Future Talent and development; as well as accountability for building out an early years careers programme to deliver on the stated ambition to hire young talent to develop and maintain external strategic partnerships to advance Future Talent within Royal Mail.
Act as an effective steward and advocate of Royal Mail’s Future Talent strategy to external audiences, and effectively communicate/articulate current and ongoing efforts to external customers.
Work closely with the Learning and Development team to align learning efforts in support of the holistic Future Talent strategy, leveraging internal expertise.
Develop and implement strategies to engage and support young talent within Royal Mail, working in partnership with the Youth Board and other internal stakeholders.
You will work in partnership with Recruitment/Talent Acquisition to ensure employer brand and attraction activities align to Future Talent strategy.
