Role purpose
We are currently looking to recruit an Application Developer to join our team on a permanent basis in our London office. The main purpose of the role will be to develop, maintain and support the RLAM Business systems; which cover all in house developed applications on the MS .NET and SQL technology stack.
Key responsibilities
Contribute to design, implementation, testing and maintenance of in-house built RLAM applications and software systems.
Key focus of this role is on delivery of robust solutions while adhering to best development practices and industry standards.
Building out a new RLAM data access layer with input to solution design and defining core approach.
Building restful APIs and architectural design using message queues with .Net Core.
Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
Excellent communication skills with both a technical and non-technical audience
Keen to learn new software development techniques, technologies and best practices
Essential Criteria
Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle
Good understanding of design patterns and best development practices including SOLID principles
Practical C# development experience creating Restful APIs using .Net Core 3.1 or higher
Strong analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving
Entity Framework Core
Git source control, Azure DevOps Pipelines
Testing Frameworks – e.g. xUnit
Practical development experience with MS SQL/T-SQL
Hands on experience with developing and configuring services in Microsoft Azure (Storage, AD, Monitoring)
Experience working with Agile or Lean development methodologies
Desirable Criteria
Experience working within an asset management firm previously
Experience with .Net 5/6

MS Build, MS Release Manager, PowerShell
