£51.33 to £60.68 per hour (including London Allowance)
The Department of Classics at Royal Holloway University of London seeks to appoint an hourly-paid visiting tutor to support the delivery and assessment of modules in Greek and Latin Literature (year 1 modules with one year 3 module) in the academic year 22-23. The duties will involve the delivery of five seminars to up to three groups (15 hours) for each of the two year 1 modules (terms 1 and 2) and three seminars of 20 hours for the year 3 module on Classical Myth and the marking of in-term assessments.
The appointee(s) will be expected to have a record of experience in the appropriate area beyond the PGT and preferably some prior experience of teaching at undergraduate level or demonstrable potential to teach and assess at undergraduate level.
The appointee will be expected to play a supportive role in the delivery of teaching and to work with the lead members of staff in the delivery of the curriculum and in assessment of student work. They will be expected to contribute to module-related administrative duties and to attend relevant meetings as required.
The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
