Position Summary:

Provide support and enhancements to a wide variety of Software Applications utilized by the Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises website. The primary responsibility of QA Analyst is to ensure that the software products or systems meet the quality standard and requirements. This includes creating end-to-end test scripts; executing scripts and managing defects resulting from test execution to ensure that system objectives are met, analyzing the results and the solution works as expected.

In addition to the technical responsibilities QA Analyst will also work closely with other members of software development team, including developers, business analyst, product owner and scrum master to ensure that testing process is integrated into the software development lifecycle and that defects are identified and resolved quickly.

The QA Analyst overall focus on Royal and Celebrity website should be to ensure website is easy to use, accurate information, secure, and to provide a seamless and enjoyable experience for customers looking to book their dream cruise and before they onboard the ship. Several areas that should be focus of testing: User Experience, Booking and Reservation process, Content Accuracy and Integration with Backend systems and/or any areas that relates to ecommerce.

The ideal candidate should have agile mindset, strong attention to details, excellent analytical skills, high level initiative, and excellent communication skills. Candidates must be flexible to work varying hours to support global markets and be capable of adapting to an ever-changing environment. The Analyst has strong knowledge of system testing and can test functional defects, by means of following a defined systematic and disciplined approach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the website functions as expected and there are no negative impacts on customer experience.

• Validation of sailings, inventory, itinerary description, accurate pricing and promotion on website cross checked with back end AS400

• Review business requirements and design, write, and execute test cases and scenarios.

• Analyze issues in existing software.

• Gain understanding of operating environment, business processes and application functionality.

• Strong critical thinking skills required.

• Attend project team meetings and provide QA oral and written status updates.

• Isolate, replicate, and defects and verify defect fixes.

• Working with technical resources to resolve issues.

• Provide first and second level support for a wide variety of Software Applications

• Assist with migrations, standards and administration as needed.

• Experience with mobile and web application testing

• Triage and fast analysis of incidents/problems, find ad-hoc solutions/workarounds.

• Communicate incidents and solutions, accurately, clearly, and effectively in writing, in person, and on the phone across interdisciplinary teams.

• Strong communication skills with ability to voice concerns and provide recommendations.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:

• 3 – 4 years’ experience of Customer Software support, troubleshooting and system testing

• Degree or equivalent experience in area of Computer Science or Information Technology/Business

• Experience of Software support and global ecommerce website applications

• Use cases.

• Professionalism in dealings with all touch points within the business.
